Women have power, collectively we have impact. Raising each other up and channeling the power of collaboration is how we achieve greater equity. Research from Harvard Business Review shows that women who have
a network of well-connected peer across diverse groups and who have an inner circle of close female contacts are more likely to land executive positions with greater authority and higher pay. These close
connections with other women can be a safe space for women to discuss how to overcome cultural and systemic hurdles.
According to Pew Research Center, the gender pay gap has held steady for the
past 15 years. In 2020, women earned 84% of what men earned. However, women of color earned as low as 57% of what men earned. The harshest effect of the gender pay gaps continues to be on women of color.
Women’s rights are human rights; so let’s make a pact to amplify women voices and lived experiences and leverage our collective power to achieve greater equity.
