Elevate Your Career: How To Intentionally Build Relationship Capital
Relationship capital, just like any form of capital, is a critical component of maintaining and growing your professional presence. If you’re thinking you don’t like networking, don’t worry, that’s not what we’re talking about. Networking is transactional. Building relationship capital is about intentional relationship development. In this session, we will work with attendees to identify who is within their current circle of influence and whether or not those individuals are Acquaintances, Allies or Advocates. Together, we will develop tactics to build genuine mutually beneficial relationships.
Understanding the relational health of their network, each attendee will develop a plan to strengthen and improve it. Developing a focused, methodical and practical strategy is a key component to long-term success.
To complement your planning, we will evaluate real-life examples of how to use community to build your career. Attendees will have the opportunity to brainstorm together and begin to build relationship capital right away!

Julie received her bachelor’s degree in French Literature and Economics at Union College, and her MBA from Boston College. She spent seven years living and attending school in France, India and Hong Kong. Julie and her family moved from Boston to Calgary, Canada, and are now settled in Denver. In her spare time, Julie skis and hikes with her dog in the foothills of Denver and can be found most weekends at a hockey rink watching her kids play.
