Roger C. Hochschild is Chief Executive Officer and President, Discover, and a member of the Board of Directors. He is responsible for all company operations, including Discover’s direct banking services: credit cards, loans and deposit products; and the Discover Global Network, comprised of the Discover Network (with millions of merchant and cash access locations), PULSE (a leading ATM/debit network), and Diners Club International (a global payments network with acceptance in more than 200 countries and territories).

Mr. Hochschild joined Discover in 1998 as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to assuming responsibilities as President and Chief Operating Officer in 2004, he was Chief Administrative and Strategic Officer of Morgan Stanley, Discover’s then parent company, for three years. Before coming to Discover, Mr. Hochschild worked for MBNA America and the consulting firm Booz-Allen & Hamilton.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Mr. Hochschild serves on the board of directors for Metropolitan Family Services and Chicago Public Media, and is on the Advisory Board of the Amos Tuck School of Business. He is also a member of the board of directors for Principal Financial Group, The Executives’ Club of Chicago, and the Bank Policy Institute (BPI), a nonpartisan public policy, research and advocacy group representing the nation’s leading banks. In 2022, he became co-chair of the Corporate Coalition of Chicago, an alliance of companies pledging to use their assets and capabilities to address inequities in the greater Chicago region.

Kelly Tufts is Vice President of Field Talent at Discover Financial Services. In this role, she is responsible for the employee experience for our agent-related functions in the field across recruiting, onboarding, and training and development for all work locations, including the remote working strategy and capabilities. In addition, Kelly leads the employee relations function for the entire company. Kelly has held various positions of increasing responsibility during her 20 years at Discover in both Marketing and Operations, including Acquisition, Portfolio Management, Product Innovation, Pricing, Business Development and Servicing Operations.

Kelly earned her M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management and B.A. from Northwestern. During her time at Kellogg School of Management, Kelly was President of the Women’s Business Association. She is on the Executive Board of Directors for Wnet and currently serves as President for the organization. She is also a long-time volunteer for Junior Achievement. Kelly brings her long-standing passion for the payments industry, financial health education, and helping women to succeed in the workplace and beyond to her various endeavors. She is most passionate about spending time with family and friends, especially her children, Daniel (10), Colin (8) and Delia (3) and her husband, Brian.
