PTW Arizona and California Chapters Host Top Golf Event

The Arizona and California Chapters of PayTech Women came together for a memorable event at Las Vegas Top Golf, held in conjunction with the Western States Acquirers Association (WSAA) conference. Each year, WSAA hosts a golf event in memory of Ken Elderts, raising funds for meaningful causes.

While the number of women golfers has steadily risen, they still make up only 20% of golfers. Interestingly, 50% of those female golfers are executives. Hosting our joint event at Top Golf provided a relaxed and fun environment for both women and men to sharpen their golfing skills — with the help of dedicated professionals — or simply enjoy friendly competition.

More than 100 professionals attended this over-capacity event, with participants from over 55 organizations, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to fintech startups. Attendees included interns, CEOs and everyone in between, creating a dynamic networking environment. This event not only highlighted the value of golf as a networking tool but also encouraged women to get comfortable with the game — breaking down barriers in an informal, pressure-free setting.

Aligned with one of PayTech Women’s key initiatives — promoting diversity and inclusion — the event saw strong male advocacy, with 40% of participants being male supporters, a record for any regional event.

The Top Golf event demonstrated the power of inclusivity and provided valuable opportunities for participants to connect with peers who share a passion for fintech and payments, all while enjoying a fun activity in the spirit of collaboration and support.

All PayTech Women events are made possible by our generous sponsors as we are a non-profit 501(c)(3). This particular event would not have been possible without our sponsors:
