PayTech Women’s California Chapter has been making waves this summer, hosting two powerful events that brought together payments professionals to explore the future of technology and leadership while strengthening connections across the industry.
On July 23, the chapter hosted the webinar Unlocking Revenue and Operational Agility with the Android Terminal Base. Moderated by Jennifer Johnson,
principal of Moreton Bay Advisory, and supported by Ashton Radican, SVP of business development at Encytro, the panel featured Heather Philpott, director of supplier services at ScanSource Inc, Anita Gibbs,
chief operating officer at 360 Payments and Rick Blesovsky, chief operating officer at GOAT Payments. Panelists shared how Android terminals are enabling a strategic shift in merchant engagement, delivering faster onboarding, streamlined
support and customized revenue opportunities. The discussion reinforced how flexibility in technology is transforming operations and growth, while also highlighting the importance of inclusive dialogue in shaping the payments industry.
Just days later, members gathered at Visa HQ in San Francisco for another Chapter LinkUp: Hit It Out of the Park for AI, led by chapter
leader Wendy Wootton alongside members Brenna Ellis, account management operations at Visa and Raina Srivastava, head of marketing at KiwiQ.AI. The session explored how leaders can move from experimenting
with AI to embedding it as a strategic partner, offering a framework for when to apply AI versus human decision-making, strategies for prompting professional-grade outputs, and real-world applications from product launches to smarter workflows. Attendees
described the program as both practical and inspiring, leaving with tangible tools to apply immediately.
The event concluded with a community outing to a San Francisco Giants game, where 36 attendees continued networking while cheering on a Giants win.
Together, these programs showcase the vibrancy and leadership of PayTech Women’s California Chapter. Chapters like California are at the heart of our mission, creating opportunities for women in paytech to connect, thrive and lead.
